About Sounding Board

Sounding Board has been set up to enable people to access information about the different cochlear implant systems quickly and easily.
The service has two parts. Firstly there is the forum. This enables you to ask questions about any aspect of cochlear implants and education. There is an archive of previously asked questions to browse. You are also invited to contribute your own comments and experiences
Users need to register in order to contribute to the forum. Registration is free. If you register, you will also receive a monthly newsletter which will update you on developments in the field of cochlear implantation and also on developments on the website.
The second part of the service is the Resources section. The range of information offered will increase as time goes on. At the moment it is possible to look up how to use and troubleshoot all of the different processors with links on how to access more detailed information if required. There is also more general information on cochlear implant systems aimed specifically for those working in education but they may be useful for others too. The section on Cochlear Implants and radio aids is well on its way.
In the future there will be sections on assessments and monitoring, research and best practice.
